Special Area Study Courses (SAS)
The Special Area Studies Courses (SAS courses) was developed in 1998 at the initiative of the International Office at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. The purpose was to meet the need of the increasing number of incoming exchange students who requested courses taught in English. Now the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts presents four SAS courses.
You will study together with Swedish students. In this whay the courses are unique in building a common platform for discussions on the subject in question, in and outside the lecture hall, between Swedish and international students. Individual students contribute with points of view from their own different cultural backgrounds enriching the outcome of the course. If you are interested in studying one of the courses listed listed below, apply the same way you apply for all other courses, i.e. via the online system provided to you or contact our International Coordinator; Lena Arstam.
